He shared his creation on social media, and the response was incredible. Encouraged by friends and family, Ken turned his newfound passion into his first custom closet business, Closets by Ken. His earliest customers were friends and family, followed by referrals, and then referrals from referrals. As the business grew, however, he realized that building every closet entirely by hand was too time-consuming to scale and made it difficult to offer the affordability he envisioned.
That realization sparked a pivotal shift. Ken transitioned from building closets entirely by hand to a more efficient manufacturing process, allowing him to maintain fully customized designs while improving precision, consistency, and affordability. With a renewed vision for the future, he eventually launched the Minnesota Closets® brand.
Today, every Minnesota Closets® project is custom-designed to fit each customer’s space, lifestyle, and storage needs. Components are fabricated using precision machinery, combining the flexibility of custom design with the efficiency of modern manufacturing. At Minnesota Closets®, we stand behind the quality of our custom storage solutions with two distinct warranties: a lifetime installation workmanship warranty and a one-year limited product warranty. Together, they provide peace of mind and confidence in your investment.
Lifetime Warranty
Minnesota Closets® stands behind the quality of our professional installation work with a lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own your home. If an issue arises due to how your custom closet or storage system was installed, our team will correct it at no cost to you.
This warranty covers installation-related labor and workmanship.
1-Year Limited Warranty
Minnesota Closets® provides a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing for our custom closets and storage systems. If a product component fails due to a manufacturing defect within one year of installation, Minnesota Closets® will repair or replace the affected component at no cost to you.
Minnesota Closets® warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, or unauthorized modifications. Warranty coverage is non-transferable, applies only to the original purchaser, and is limited to residential installations completed by Minnesota Closets® authorized installation professionals.
